I am looking for a way that would allow my part of a national organization to sit in on Tandberg video conferences hosted by some other locations. I am not sure of the specifics on their systems. My section of the organizaion does not have any Tandberg products. Is there software we could use or would we have to buy a piece of hardware? We just want to receive the audio/video but it would also be nice to know what the bare minimum requirements would be to have an audio stream going back to them.

Different vendors video equipment for the most part is compatible using ISDN or IP. Over IP, there are network/firewall issues that have to be looked at from both ends. The Tandberg units may have the multi-point feature to connect multiple sites or an external MCU/bridge would be required to tie several locations. The video unit may also allow a voice call while in a video conference.
