HI,
We have deployed CTM and also a Polycom VS4000 in our organisation. Howerver, we do not know anything about WebOffice. If you have questions about FVCs CTM we probably have answers.
Thanks

I have used Polycom's Web Office extensively. What questions do you have?

Yeah, i have some experience on the conference server but not on the Click To Meet, which i think it has package the web collaboration tools and conference server in.
I read about it on their website but have no experience using it though. I'm an ISDN guy which i strongly support VC on ISDN but due to the cost i think i should move to IP but the quality is not up to what i've expected. Packet switching still does not really gives QOS on public network. So i wonder do you have any VC system using CTM on IP which riding on ADSL / SDSL ?

From what i can get from the web, the Web Office seems so similar to CTM but you can get more features from CTM cause it can have streaming options, text chat in CTM and conference server in the package.
Web Office seems to need more component to get almost the same features as the CTM. Please tell me more on the components need for web office to have VC, data collab, and possibly streaming plus text chat.

Zornzack,
If you want to try it out (CTM) with a few freinds, go to this URL http://ctmsrv.lorit.ca:8080/ctmexpress/index.htm
Most of the conferences are setup with no login required.
We use it in a software dev lab in our university for programmers and other specialists who work outside our intranet.
Give me a feedback on what you think about it.

Dear ,
I have recently seen the MCU working. As I was in Dubai FVC conferance.
I needed to have some online Video conferancing contacts if incase I wanted to the VC.
Also,
About the Click to meet. Those who are using it kindly let me know the issues they faced. With respect to the Location .

Hi Zomzack,
I've tested your server abit.
CTM was quite a software to install and run... my computer isn't really that fresh :)
I've been testing some WEB conference tools: Polycom WEboffice, Smart Tech BRIDGIT, and now Clock To meet.
How would you, or anyone by the way, clasify these products or any on a scale from simple to advanced. and easy to use and install(for users).
I would scale them like this, with the lowest number as the simpliest and easiest to use/install.
1: Bridgit
2: polycom.
3: ctm
This is not a list over wich one is best or so, just to try to get a feeling for how advanced and easy they are to use. Some might want more advanced functions, such as a videoconference within the web-conf (CTM) but that makes the software more complex and not as simple as bridgit for example.
I haven't tested the services out there, WEBex and Microsofts Live Meeting, have anyone here done so? where would these fit in my small list?
Regards

I think at this point, I need a potted history of Click to Meet. Anyone able to sum it up in one paragraph - bandwidths used, codecs used, features?
thanks for the info, cos I'm interested in this area but currently I haven't got a scooby doo what it's about...

We've been using CTMexpress for about a year now with no problems except that video will not work with ViaVideo 5 drivers. We use it frequently for document collaboration and are happy with the way it performs. Audio works nicely with only minor hiccups when connecting to some of our low bandwidth sites.
Setup is quick and easy and administration is a breeze.

For those interrested,
I have attached a new comparison study made by the RISQ (the organisation managing the Quebec province internet portion).
The study is comparing videoconferencing software solutions available on the market. The focus is on 3 MCU technologies : CTM, Marratech and a newcommer, iXmedia.
It's in french (good time to practice).
