Hi Guys,
How can i disable the pc input port? We are not ready to have users playing with presentations by plugging in their laptops.
I think it may be an xconfig cmd?
Thanks.

Whilst I can't think of a way of doing this directly, I can think of a few possible solutions that might help:
You could program the codec to ignore the 'Presentation' and 'Video Source' (TRC4 only) buttons on the remote control.
To do this you need to start a console connection and type the following:
disable present pc doccam vcr aux
NB You only need to add the pc, doccam, vcr, and aux arguments if you have a TRC4 remote with direct input selection buttons.
However, the drawback with this method is that means it's still possible to activate the presentation feature by going through the Presentation menu from within a call.
An alternative would be to enable Kiosk mode on the unit, which pretty much blocks the end users from being able to do anything, other than place calls from the directory and move the camera!
You can do this by typing:
xConfiguration Kiosk Mode: On
You might want to tweak the settings for that a little, as the defaults may not be appropriate.
If I had my devious :devious: head on I would also suggest attaching some kind of physical port-locking device, similar to this (http://www.lindy.co.uk/vga-serial-port-security-cable/20976.html), or a gender changer to the input on the back of the Tandberg, which normally be enough to confuse most end-users.

I think I've found an even sneakier solution!
Use the command console to type the following:
xConfiguration DuoVideoSource: 1
disable present pc doccam vcr aux
xConfiguration OSD Menu Simple: On
This will set the default source for 'Presentation' to the Main Camera, rather than the PC input.
The second line will disable the 'source' buttons as per my previous post.
The third line enables the 'Simple Menu' mode, which removes much of the 'clutter' that confuses novice users.
It also limits the in-call 'Presentation' menu so that only PC can be selected as the source. However, now that you've set the default source for the 'Presentation' to Main Camera the button now has no apparent effect.

Setting the camera to Kiosk mode is the simpler solution for you.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your help, Kiosk mode is not suitable to the few units which arnt totally locked down.
Will try the above suggestions to hopefully disuade the sneaky users...
Thanks!
