View Full Version : What hardware for the IP and ISDN connections on the video conferencing system?

Dear Friends,
I have a system included one RMX1000, four VSX7000. These are worked over IP. Now I need to add a VSX7000 to this system but this VSX7000 works over ISDN.
So what hardware and software that I need to deploy the system?

You need a ISDN H320 to IP H323 GATEWAY that your RMX1000 can use to dial over ISDN.

Most gateways also need a GATEKEEPER to work properly.

You could add ISDN capability to your RMX and bring in a PRI circuit or several. Then your RMX could be the gateway between IP and ISDN.

Can you add a ISDN card to the RMX1000?
I thought that was only possible on the RMX2000.

If that is possible that would probably be the optimal hardware for this setup.

I don't saw this ISDN card option for RMX1000 so I'm looking for some help, please.

Maybe you should contact the person who sold you the RMX in the first place?

A good ISDN-H323 Gateway is the Codian 3201.
