Good afernoon,
I was wondering about how would I get status information from those systems real time.
Why in real time?, because Iīm giving support to the videoconference participants during their meeting.
Youīre probably thinking that itīs easier looking the info at the device web. Yes, of course, but I canīt be looking five or more places at the same time.
I had tryed configuring snmp and traps. But the issueīs that traps doesnīt arrive early enough for me, or sometimes just doesnīt arrive. In the other hand, snmp only brings me configuration stuff.
Has anybody tried to do something like that?
Thank you for your time in advance.

Glad to meet you!
Excuse me, what do you mean asking me to drop you a PM?
Iīll send you a file of trap info I want to get by snmp.
And I send you too, another file with snmp info available from Polycom MIBS. The matterīs that I need the following info via snmp instead of via traps:
- Low battery of remote control.
- Call status: up,down,fail.
- Microphone status: up, down.
- GSD status: up, down.
- Gatekeeper: registered, no registered.
- Line: up, down
- Camera: up, down.
Thanks for your help. Could you give you any more details?
Device Model: HDX 4000 HD

Hello Gary, how do you do?
Donīt worry about those files. I pasted them. Those files are the lists of traps and snmp Mibs of my last reply. :)
Asking snmpwalk to the HDX 4000 Iīve realized the device dontīt really answer all the snmp Mibs.
#snmpwalk -v2c -c "readonly community" "ip address"

If I get to the web page of the device, Itīs possible to download the deviceīs Mibs. Those Mibs are the same I pasted when asking snmpwalk to the device.
Did you try to obtain this kind of info before?
Thanks for your help!

Gestor,
I'm writing software that goes directly to the system to gather the information. Depending on the information required, I use Port 80, 23 or 24.
It appears your trying to feed this into a SMNP monitor tool (Like HP Openview/Solarwinds). At this point in time, I don't think any of the Polycom MIBs will give you the detail you are looking for.
Let me know if you would like to talk about one of my programs to give you similiar information (but just not in SMNP format).
Thanks,
Gary Miyakawa

Good afernoon,
I was wondering about how would I get status information from those systems real time.
TANDBERG TMS has management support for HDX. If you are interested, you can download a 3 site license for free from the www.tandberg.com webpage.
