Hello all,
I have been looking to find a comparison chart including the different video codec standards (h.261/263/164) and their bandwidth requirements using different picture formats (QCIF/CIF/4CIF/9CIF_HD).
Does anybody have some information about this?
I thought I could find inforamtion easely but this doesn't seem to be the case.
Thanks.

Not sure if it's possible to find it, especially with some absolute figures. Also, I'd be talking about bitrate rather than bandwidth. The thing is that the question is not really correct initially, because besides allowed resolutions for different codecs (e.g., H.261 supports only QCIF and CIF resolutions with limited frame rates) you have other parameters to be considered like frame rate, "noise" level, etc... Comparison between H.263 and H.264, especially at HD level, is even more sophisticated issue. Normally, you just get some general words like "H.264 is at lest twice effective in comparison with H.263", and even in this example you should keep in mind that there are H.263, H.263+ and H.263++ which are slightly different.
So good luck :)

Thanks for your reply dr.CMOK.
What you say is very correct, I have spent some time now trying to gether such information, but I 've been unseccessful.
Also.... yes bitrate, not bandwidth...
