Any suggestions for a highly scalable, global (distributed), and STABLE content delivery platform for multimedia content?

I've heard a lot of good things about V-brick and plan to take a close look at them. Who are the other major players in this arena?

The two major players in the content management/distribution business are QUMU (formerly MPI) and Accordent; I think you will find most larger systems use one of these two as the core.
