Compatibility of Tandberg and Polycom equipment

Hello.

My college has Polycom equipment. It wants to join local education network and they use Tandberg.
Can they talk to each other or should my college expect some compatibility issues?

They both adere to common standards and basically should be compatible. Depending on the models and software versions you have and what options are trying to be used (H.239, HD, etc) there may be sporadic issues.
