This is probly somthing most of you guys know but I was reading the IP vs ISDN post and I thought this should be said.
Its very common when you set up VC over IP for the first time that picture freezes up for a short time every other second.
Usualy this is not a lack of bandwith or the network not being able to handle the bandwith.
The problem is the routers and switches are set to "auto"
When som routers and switches comunicate and are set to auto they keep reconfiguring the 10/100mb transfer over and over again.
Fixing the ports to 10 or 100 will solve this.
