I'm currently managing three Polycom VS4000 units and Nine FX Viewstations on portable units. I have had to replace a couple of the FX's due to failure. However, they seem to be doing pretty well for what they were designed to do. The 4000's gave me all the connectivity I needed in the conference rooms, but I have had several failures creating a lot of frustration. The failures were bad enough, but Polycom will only replace a failed unit with a refurbished one. I usually have to get two or three replacements for the one I purchased, before they ship me one that is in good working condition.

We have 20 VS4000's and only had a few fail in the past 4 years. Otherwise, FX and Viewstations (40 of them) have had consistent problems with power supplies so we keep a stock of them around...cheap enough to get back up in a hurry.

Guys,
This forum was really intended for new product reviews not discussions on existing equipment. I am going to move this discussion over to codecs if you do not mind.

No problem Paul, now I understand the format of your forum. I just wanted to forward some of my experiences with the equipment I have been using.
