We are currently installing a MPLS network within our company to provide QoS end to end. Like I said in the IP Video topic we implemented IP video since more than 3 years to reduce costs. We have more than 50 devices (all IP) and a large use of them and we haven't had any real problem except on the remote sites where we haven't a huge bandwidth.

I would like to know if someone has knowledge about problem, known issues or requirements to put VC on a MPLS Network.
One of the members proposed to take a look at the masergy.com web site but apparently they provide a MPLS Network and we already have one.
Thanks anyway. :)

Howdy

we run a service based on an Equant MPLS, and apart from the usual occasional outages we have experienced no problems on their network. It's probably worth retaining ISDN back up at key sites, but QoS wise there have been no critical issues. I'm not really one to talk on a deeply technical level, ut operationally speaking there can be no complaints.

HI Mazzarak

Thanks for your feedback. I'm not an expert in Network but obviously as far as I know the MPLS solution will principally improve the voice and video quality.

well the voice will not be of any greater quality. One of the other discussions here contains a very useful pocket history of VC audio and stuff. You can easily reach the optimum using 256k on ISDN, and beyond that, the B/W is used for video. As you say, you can really bump up on the video quality if you have the space for 2 or 3 meg per site.
