While we're doing introductions...
I am Randy Seiferling, and my official responsibility is for support of ISDN BRI and PRI for the local Telco in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have been supporting the 15 or so internal Picturetel equipped conference rooms that my company operates since 1995, simply because I had the knowledge on the ISDN side. I do not have an A/V background, but have picked some of it up over the years.
I currently support 4 Tandberg 6000s, 3 Tandberg 880s, 1 Sony, and 6 Picturetel 4500s. I also have an Accord MGC100 we use for internal conferences, and offer to some of our local IP connected customers. In my test lab I have a Tandberg, a Polycom VS4000, vs512, and Viavideo, and a Sony PCS1.
By the way, the VS4000 is connected via a PRI and is available for connection most of the time if you ever need a test site....you will most times get a view of a clock in the lab. The number is +13065697323 and you can connect at up to 23 B channels (in theory anyway). I also have a loopback number at +13065697321 which supports BONDING and AIM at up to 768K.
From what I've seen on the site so far, I know I will pick up more information than I can ever give back. It's nice to know I'm not unique in this sometimes crazy job.
