Question Legacy MCU's/Endpoints and Spark

Can legacy MCU's and endpoints register to Spark/Spark Cloud?

MCU 5320
C90...etc

Thanks smart people!

Hi,

Nope, not directly - however there can be links through to the Spark registered world at a number of levels. For typical large scale on-prem Cisco deployments the Hybrid Media Node along with Expressway services are the link between on-prem endpoints, MCUs, gateways etc and the Spark world, and of course there is a Spark SIP gateway (operated by Cisco in the Spark cloud) that provides seamless dialling between the traditional video world and the world of Spark registered or registerable endpoints (MX, DX, SX, Room Kit and Spark Boards).

So to answer your question directly, can an MCU 5320 or a C90 register directly with Spark on the cloud? - No. However they can still work with systems that are.

Ace, what are you looking to achieve? I'm doing some work on how on premise and cloud stuff here at Cisco will work together. Would be interested in hearing what you would like to see happen.
